Simplified Systematic Theology Provides Answers Everyone Can Understand
How do we know the Bible is God's Word? What is sin and where did it come
from? When and how will Jesus return? Christians who struggle with these
questions can find answers through systematic theology--if they can handle
terms like omnipotence, substitutionary atonement, and supra- and-
infra-lapsarian.
Wayne Grudem and Jeff Purswell make these critical theological issues more
palatable to the uninitiated in BIBLE DOCTRINE, an abridgment of Grudem's
highly commended SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY.
They give introductory-level students and lay readers access to the same
systematic theology as the original, but with simpler prose, a glossary of
special terms, review questions, and questions for personal application.
BIBLE DOCTRINE covers the same seven essential topics of faith as SYSTEMATIC
THEOLOGY:
- The Doctrine of the Word of God
- The Doctrine of God
- The Doctrine of Man
- The Doctrine of Christ
- The Doctrine of the Application of Redemption
- The Doctrine of the Church
- The Doctrine of the Future.
